National Insurance - Guernsey

I'm a seller from Guernsey, which is not part of the UK but is part of the British Isles and, therefore, falls under "UK" when selling on eBay.

I'm being asked to provide a National Insurence Number, which doesn't apply to Guernsey. We do not have them and are not bound by HMRC. 

I'm struggling to talk to anyone at ebay who understands this and doesn't simply say "but you're in the UK and you need to provide one" trying to explain how I'm not in UK has now become a headache.

Any suggestions? I can't find anything on the seller dashboard.

If the NI number required is for this account then you are in fact registered as being in the United Kingdom.

AFAIK you cannot change that, and I don't know if you will be able to resolve the situation other than opening another account where you must specify Guernsey.

Hopefully someone experiencing the same problem or more knowledeable on the subject will be able to give you a definiteive solution to your problem
