NO LONGER SELLING DUE TO SIMPLE DELIVERY

AS OF 15TH APRIL MY DAYS AS A PRIVATE EBAY SELLER WILL STOP AFTER 19 YEARS.

I AM FED UP OF THE GREED OF EBAY AND I HOPE OTHER EBAY SELLERS DECIDE TO NO LONGER LET THE EBAY CONTROL FREAKS HAVE THIS MUCH CONTROL OVER PRIVATE SELLERS.

There had to be a BUT added in the small print. I think absolutely everything has to be really scrutinised nowadays on here.

Well there definitely isn't anything simple about it. Plus no time frame now on when it will be sorted out by.

So under £750 it relies upon confirmed delivery as well as positive feedback received before they will release the funds, so more barriers in the way to releasing our funds so they can earn/invest from it longer.

Unfortunately yet another appalling communication from Eve Williams .   

"We’re also extending the roll out period while we work on bringing you even more of the features you’ve requested, such as improvements to combined shipping. In the meantime, we encourage you to give it a try to benefit from these new features that will be coming over the next few weeks"

Something that works to proper standard is not a feature . It was hers and Ebay's  decision to make this reckless change on April 15th if it can be roll out fully it has failed and should be removed .  

I wonder what the shareholders and investors are thinking  now !

It will never be sorted out.  Ebay will fiddle about with it every time they think of another way to squeeze a little bit more from anyone daft enough to stay here and use it.

Any time they need more to mollify the shareholders, they'll up the prices.  I wouldn't be surprised if not dispatching within two days, which you have now agreed to do under Selfish Delivery, becomes a punishable offence some time in the future.  I'm sure ebay has planted a few nasties in the small print to further enhance their new income stream as often as required.

The T&Cs for SD are currently light on specific details, but the opportunity for at least one further admin charge has been written in.

It's simply one dis-insensitive to sell after another  , after another .

The real irony to all of this at the moment is that these changes have only encouraged buyers to look at all options on all platforms including the platforms this site wants to squeeze. These changes have really only encouraged buyers to spend money on different platforms which is absolutely no benefit to this platform. Talk about a major own goal.

It really is becoming mind boggling. The worst thing are announcements giving options that even they can't answer themselves.

It  isn't simple at all ,my partner is having to send some items via evri ,but today we went to the parcel drop off shop and they couldn't take in any parcels because they were full to capacity so had had to put the label printing machine as out of order ,so we had to drive to the next evri drop off shop a few miles away and put the parcels there ,but how is this good ,using more fuel ,wear and tear  to vehicle if this is a regular thing and extra time out of our working hours . So not making it cheaper . You wouldn't get this problem with the post office ,we have 2 post offices within 10 mins walk from where we live so ideal ,but the evri parcel shop in our town has had problem after problem , either no paper to print the labels or receipts ,the bag isn't collected for days ,or now the shop was too overwhelmed with parcels to take anymore and that was thismorning at 10.30 am.I know it has been a bank holiday but if we are being forced to use evri and get parcels to customers on time then this system is flawed ,even the staff in the parcel shop didn't know when the bag would be collected either .So will the same problem be there tomorrow ?. Ebay expect sellers to post parcels on time and mark us down for late delivery and buyers moan if items are late . So ebay are costing sellers more money and time  with Evri .

Thank you honeymonster007 and lucy_farmer for answering my post.  I shall follow your advice when needed.  I'm a bit peeved though that adding the p&p to my asking price will mean an extra % to eBay but needs must and stamps are so much more attractive than a label.  Stamps taught me more about geography than any school lesson ever did.

Lies, Lies and More Lies.

The roll out period has been extended because it's a 💩 that doesn't work.

No-one requested anything, it was dumped on private sellers without consultation.

"We encourage you to give it a try".  I thought 'compulsory' meant you have no choice but to try it.  The only choice for private sellers is not to sell on ebay.  Which I would heartily recommend as the choice to make.

Because i've not been trying it for the last month i haven't sold anything. Had some nice suggestions though on how to sell more, list more, post faster. Trying to teach someone who has sold successfully (and honestly) for 21 years how to do it what a joke.

I totally agree with your post. It really is mess after mess after mess and problems that will cause more issues between sellers and buyers.

This really has been implemented so badly.

Dispatching within two days was specifically stated when I read them .  Didn't notice the admin charge foot-in-the-door.
