AS OF 15TH APRIL MY DAYS AS A PRIVATE EBAY SELLER WILL STOP AFTER 19 YEARS.
I AM FED UP OF THE GREED OF EBAY AND I HOPE OTHER EBAY SELLERS DECIDE TO NO LONGER LET THE EBAY CONTROL FREAKS HAVE THIS MUCH CONTROL OVER PRIVATE SELLERS.

It's so weird. It's only a few things that have changed so it's not the purple bag. I'm looking at Select Burgundy Skirt for example. It said £3.89 RM 48 (small parcel) but when I clicked on it, it said SD £2.74, large letter. I've just changed it to 1kg and it says prices start from £3.44 and I saved and now the buyer sees £2.87 postage!! What's happening!???

Well that wasn't exactly a useful reply. Mind you, at least you've had some kind of response. I've not had any reply to emails I sent.

I just looked and it's showing as postage £3.44

I'm getting really confused with my listing postage prices. In my ebay it shows what I'm asking and the service being used and a potential buyer is seeing the same. I'm even using custom services like standard 2nd class for a couple of low priced items (books and used matchbox cars) and also 2nd class signed for.
These are not SD services, so will my potential buyer see the listed cost or it will change to SD at checkout?
I have RM only selected only in preferences.
From what I can see none of my 200+ listing have been altered to SD
And what's happened to the RM up to 2 kg price, its now up to 1kg and extra for 2kg.
I want to sell on my collections not play F*#?ing 4d chess.

Ok yes it's changed now 🙄 so yes that's what I set. I'm going to have to go through I suppose and check if there's other weird differences between what you see and what I see. Like, really 'simple' this eh!? Hassle after hassle.

Ever feel like your an unpaid ebay beta tester

Your so right. It's such a mess that still seems to change slightly from day to day. It just seems that anyone selling literally has to check their listings every day.

THERES GREMLINS IN THE SYSTEM
theyre still tinkering with it
I did a dummy listing
Firstly it quoted 5.15 for a up to 2kg …that’s new!!
I changed it to 1kg and it went to the correct 3.44 postage
listed it
viewed it and it said 2.87 postage
??
revised it twice and still said 2.87
did a search for it and it said 3.44
in view listing it still said 2.87
its because a lot of us have been staying up past midnight and feeding them…obviously
so I would say as long as you’re happy with what you put on , don’t worry about it
but you were right to be confused it’s them it’s not you

The amount of bloody time I've spent looking at all this etc, wish I had been paid!! 😬

Gremlins is a understatement lol.
15-04-2025 10:29 PM
The same. I just looked at another, changed to £3.44 but said £2.87 for ages before it updated and still it says 'Save £2.87 when you collect in person....' etc, even though it says £3.44 postage. Gawd.... Gremlins lol

We'd all be rich if we'd been paid for the last 2 weeks lol.

Well, thank you very much.'

Yes sitting here waiting for the big day that didn't happen
15-04-2025 10:33 PM
What does it say for the express postage though 🤣

🙄🤣🤣🧟🧟
………….

What's the £3.44 anyway - it's not on that table that I've seen here a few times. That says £3.74 for RM up to 1kg. Are they playing with it right now?? I don't know whether I should just bite the bullet and literally change all mine to SD first before they do it for me, probably wrong.
15-04-2025 10:41 PM
Oh come on
we don’t care anymore 🤣
not sure I’ve seen express as it starts “from” and you don’t have a choice when listing to stipulate tracked 24 only, it’s up to the buyer

I think it has something to do with VAT. £2.87 + 20% VAT (57p) = £3.44. Why you see £2.87 one way and £3.44 another I have no idea. What everyone sees needs to be the full price.

The 3.74 is out of date now, that’s what they were quoting up until today when it went live for up to 1kg then 4.27 for up to 2kg
RM tracked 48 will be 3.44 or 3.45 for up to 2kg too , same price as buying direct from them so all good there , maybe they read all the complaints
I want to know what 2.87 was? As I’ve got evri disabled and RM don’t have that price for small parcels
but I’m past caring
up,to them to sort the mess out
