NO LONGER SELLING DUE TO SIMPLE DELIVERY

AS OF 15TH APRIL MY DAYS AS A PRIVATE EBAY SELLER WILL STOP AFTER 19 YEARS.

I AM FED UP OF THE GREED OF EBAY AND I HOPE OTHER EBAY SELLERS DECIDE TO NO LONGER LET THE EBAY CONTROL FREAKS HAVE THIS MUCH CONTROL OVER PRIVATE SELLERS.

Apart from a half decent phone that is all I have and it serves me well. Obviously the ethos of this platform now is out with the old and in with the new. The only issue with that is a lot of the new target users are a lot more savvy regarding things even though we've got the greater amount of experience.

I'd be very scam-aware with buyers asking you to change the delivery address after checkout. I'd go back to them and suggest the order was cancelled (as 'problem with buyers address') and they reorder once they have updated their address with ebay.

I don't blame you for checking. Because of these changes they'll be a lot of chances looking for any loopholes they can find. It will end up making people who stay even more cautious.

Thank you very much. I do try to keep my posts based on fact as much as I can and as I am a private seller who also used to buy a lot on here I always try looking at things from both angles.

Thanks it's 24 years of learning the ropes on ebay and my strategy is to build up similar knowledge elsewhere but that place looks genuinely simpler, some of the principles are the same and the younger ones at work always seem keen to talk about them so it's probably the future.

I have read most of the comments on this feed. I have closed down my items as of tonight as I am not able to do the Simple Delivery (what a laugh) .

I am a disabled pensioner & have been on ebay nearly 28 years on my other private site & this one. I do not have a printer or a flashy mobile phone to do this QR code. I sell my own items & my late mothers Jigsaw puzzles and bits from their home & mine. I pack them up and my neighbour takes them to the Post office for me. they weigh and label them either by standard delivery or by Royal Mail signed delivery for the better items.

Them my neighbour brings the receipts for me and I add the Tracking & proof of postage etc.

I did phone Ebay and explain But like talking to a brick wall as usual. Know the feeling?

Anyway, I have shut down this site & my other site plus my Partner has closed both of his where he buys his gadgets and car bits.

So Ebay, Bye bye after all this time and try and think of people who have been loyal to you for so many years.

Time to get your act sorted and respect older or Disabled customers.

I am so sorry that you have had to remove your listings because of the changes being made but I am really glad that there have been posts on here that have helped you reach your decision. I agree that they really have not properly looked into what these changes have done.

Its so upsetting to read of your situation and many others, knowing it is all because of ebay's greed.  I hope ebay will be happy with their ill-gotten gains at the expense of others with a total lack of consideration of anyone but themselves.
