AS OF 15TH APRIL MY DAYS AS A PRIVATE EBAY SELLER WILL STOP AFTER 19 YEARS.

I AM FED UP OF THE GREED OF EBAY AND I HOPE OTHER EBAY SELLERS DECIDE TO NO LONGER LET THE EBAY CONTROL FREAKS HAVE THIS MUCH CONTROL OVER PRIVATE SELLERS.

I wonder if they get some kind of digest of the views we are expressing sent to them in the mornings? They must allow us to vent like this on their own site for a reason? Unless it's just to control the conversation and stop it getting more spicy on other forums.

Officially ebay don't view this forum but the other week there was a certain post about something where ebay would be disadvantaged and whoooosh ebay was there making a rebuttal.

My theory is there are certain members here who have direct links with the higher ups and they, either voluntarily or as part of their role, tell ebay if they think they should take a look at something.

Surely it`s the silent MAJORITY although I have no idea of the number of eBay users in the UK, whether occasional or frequent. Also it would be both the silent and unaware that are preferred.  By that, I mean those that are unaware of the consequences of all the changes to their time-proven systems that SD. BPF etc will bring.

I will take down breakables tonight but what I am leaving up probably won't sell anyways(removing as much as possible) as I only am using RM and itll be less visible and more expensive due to their tactics. I'll put small parcel size for everything as that's what I always used as I don't want to get things refused by the postman and as for Ev I'm not going from parcelshop to parcelshop just to get a parcel accepted. V I'm not so keen so sell on now as there as some very dodgy buyers on the cheaper stuff on there and the item I put up to test hasn't had much interest. More expensive stuff if anything sells, I might just buy my own label for instead to save the aggravation. 

I have read about post-offices refusing items and then people being told "Oh but they MUST accept them..." I've read of one that's flatly refusing to accept any.

All their internal metrics should  be flagging they have a problem  and they probably have since they introduced Buyer Protection as that was when the free give away  part of "free to sell" ended  , then  sellers and buyers started feeling the real cost of the  supposed free give away.  

I would be very surprised if they don't have anyone watching these forums as part of their Job on a daily basis  .  Given what is  happening I would expect they will have more people than normal closely watching as posts go live .

This a customer relations nightmare and they will be in panic mode , weekend conference calls  with senior managers  involved etc etc .   This  is without doubt damaging the Ebay brand  beyond what we might think on this post .

It could be they are interfering or attempting to interfere to try and lessen the impact  of this post but this post is just a reflection of what their customers currently think and the only way they can address the current is  start listening and  put a hold on future changes I.E Simple Delivery  and  address the issues cause by  "Buyer protection" .  Their flagship strategy is danger of sinking without trace and Ebay UK might the 1st point of  a global rollout .

Not sure if you know though but you won’t be able to see the buyers address so in effect you won’t be able to buy your own label, you MUST use SD via eBay! I stopped using eBay postage ages ago and bought my own labels on RM website, you won’t have that option anymore

eBay may still say its free to sell but there is no freedom of choice for sellers with SD
