AS OF 15TH APRIL MY DAYS AS A PRIVATE EBAY SELLER WILL STOP AFTER 19 YEARS.
I AM FED UP OF THE GREED OF EBAY AND I HOPE OTHER EBAY SELLERS DECIDE TO NO LONGER LET THE EBAY CONTROL FREAKS HAVE THIS MUCH CONTROL OVER PRIVATE SELLERS.

Same as me. It's so much quicker and easier.

Got a reply from Eve Williams underling!! Eve asked Rachel to get in touch. See above, message 739.

I'm trying to be as carful as I can. It wouldn't be great for a thread creator to get a ban regarding something that was posted 😖

Not the most helpful of responses for you. I'm not really expecting a reply because for subject I put Policy Changes And Simple Delivery.

I turned off the emails but it was so many years ago i have no idea how i did it or if its even the same way anyway.

I contemplated turning them off but thought I might miss a really useful post so by marking them as spam I can have a quick glance through before deleting them.

And the reply I got back, doesn't correspond with what I wrote! I am going to reply to her!!

The emails would be a lot better if they linked you back to the specific post . If I do actually see something interesting in an email I still have to trawl through to find the specific post and then reply
If I just reply from the email button it just fails .
Should someone start a post about bugs in the forum software 🙂 🙂 🙂

I hoped the policy changes bit might possibly prompt some kind of response from the one sent to CEO and hoped the Simple Delivery bit might prompt some kind of response from Eve. Neither of the emails bounced back so I know they got through.

That thread would be interesting. I just hoped my email sent would show it's from a buyer/seller point of view.

Ive removed 95% of my listings, ill do the rest later in the month when the changes hit. Im done.

It reeks of a standard answer that they send to everybody. I doubt if they've even read your email. It's more likely that they've simply seen "yet another email about SD, let's send the standard answer". And again in their reply, the mantra that "these changes have been made to improve the buyer and seller experience". Yeah, right.

I'm removing my last 4 live listings at the weekend but will still keep a eye on what happens for sellers.

Tap your profile picture then settings and you can turn off recieving emails

So true. There has been nothing in these recent changes to improve my buyer/seller experience.

Agreeing with the OP.
15 year private seller and de-cluttering enthusiast. I had regular sales of around £1k per year for the last few years, which was nice to have for relatively little fuss.
Sellers of my type now all seem to have almost zero sales, and confusing retroactive rules that no one asked for. So I've shut down, and I'll leave it like that for a few months and then see if there's any change at ebay that takes them in a direction other than smashing themselves in the face with a brick.

That's exactly what I've done. Not listing for the foreseeable future and removing my last 4 live listings at the weekend. Then will wait and see if any future changes for sellers.

That's my plan too, had a dozen or so ready to list but not for the foreseeable future

I have put a few items on until the 7th and then that will be it as neither myself or my partner have a printer or smart phone and we are not going to be forced to buy these things .
