AS OF 15TH APRIL MY DAYS AS A PRIVATE EBAY SELLER WILL STOP AFTER 19 YEARS.

I AM FED UP OF THE GREED OF EBAY AND I HOPE OTHER EBAY SELLERS DECIDE TO NO LONGER LET THE EBAY CONTROL FREAKS HAVE THIS MUCH CONTROL OVER PRIVATE SELLERS.

I actually clicked one of the emails from a thread and marked it as spam and they all seem to go into my spam box which is easier to clear than having to go through my emails.

One issue with alternatives is e**d do not advertise or I dont think pay google to promote their listings. Search google and you get ebay, national retailers and Te*u. Having been there since almost the outset and been in and out over many years it would be good it their profile was raised.   

CS has confirmed that items on exclusion lists for compensation can avoid SD but it will be a clever AI to realise something may contain a glass element etc. Coding the AI to discriminate items under £10/100g, included in Evri's and Royal Mail exclusions will be impressive.

Under £10 auctions are exempt from SD unless they subsequently go over £10. £10 excludes BPF. You can use large letter, but everything exempt should be under 100g.

Hopefully if enough people from here move to there they'll want to increase their visibility.  The AI on here will definitely need to be so much smarter than the decision makers. Plus it will need to be so much quicker at learning than the decision makers.

Does the £10 limit include the postage costs?

As a matter of interest, did whoever told you to reduce the price to £9.99 also tell you that the packed item has to weigh under 100g in order to be exempt from Simple Delivery?

I didn't realise all this had effected small businesses that much. It's the chain reaction that I said weeks ago but hoped would not happen. Private sellers selling less, buyers buying less and now small businesses being affected. When will this madness stop.

Going back to "buyer protection"  what that implies to every new buyer on Ebay , is Ebay has a problem with private sellers ? . In terms of a marketing exercise its now a good way of advertising your platform suggesting its full of shark  like sellers. 

 A massive insult to sellers and makes a mockery of the feedback system . 

As a buyer the only sellers I am wary of are the ones that pop up overnight peddling  identical cheaper NEW goods to other bona fide sellers ,

So true. As a buyer aswell as seller I am wary of the overnight pop up sellers. I always have a quick check at feedback numbers and how high it is. Yes it takes a few seconds longer but it's my safety net when buying. Although I've hardly brought anything due to declining seller numbers.

Yes, just got it!! Eve asked Rachel to get in touch!!! I told Eve I didn't have a printer and only a basic mobile so wouldn't be able to do imple delivery, and only be able to do collection in person on my listings, which is basically pointless. Rachel then goes on to say how happy she is to tell me how to do simple delivery, so she actually ignored what I wrote. Oh and how this system is to be a better system for buyers and sellers! Also under 100g and £10  will still be custom delivery.
