AS OF 15TH APRIL MY DAYS AS A PRIVATE EBAY SELLER WILL STOP AFTER 19 YEARS.
I AM FED UP OF THE GREED OF EBAY AND I HOPE OTHER EBAY SELLERS DECIDE TO NO LONGER LET THE EBAY CONTROL FREAKS HAVE THIS MUCH CONTROL OVER PRIVATE SELLERS.

Yup that's why some of us have referred the matter to the CMA to perform any necessary investigation and enforcement action if they find that ebay is about to break competition law.

I do hope there is something. Sorry for the slight delay in replying. I've just deleted 252 emails from this thread since just after 9 this morning😱.

No. The existing system will not change.
Buyer pays eBay (not you).
Buyer receives a Collection Code (either 6 digits or a QR scan) from eBay.
You can, after payment is cleared, exchange details for collection/delivery.
You, the seller, than has to enter the Collection code against the order detail in order to release your funds.

It's very obvious that you're trying to circumvent this.
Not just to me, anyone that has seen your recent set of posts.
You really should read the terms and conditions.
If eBay decide they don't like what you're doing they can respond.

The thought of us all being back and this going back to a pleasurable platform is a great thought to hope for.

I am just clarifying why we should now have to pay a delivery fee if the

RON,
It still is free to collect in person. Why do you think it isnt?

I think it was because someone said that once a buyer pays the money is held until the info needed is entered to release the funds. Unless buyer protection gets added onto the listing price.

Looks like I am not alone in having to give up selling due to complicated delivery (sorry ebay propaganda is simple delivery - ha ha). Had long chat with ebay who do not appreciate/understand that
I cannot print labels and taking a desktop computer with a QR code on it to a post office is utterly impractical. This along with recent huge hike in selling fees for low value items means I will be waving goodbye shortly. Anyone any reccomendations for alternative services? Most of my items are less than £10.

I just put ending 6th April after the item description on the main page.

Someone made a post earlier that gave what might be a useful site address.

If you click on view listings under my picture you can have a look at what I've put on my listings.

I will stick around and see if Evri is forced onto my listings, I can't do Evri in the 3 day dispatch time as my dispatch time is 5 days but I'm only shipping with RM and I get collections so that's not an issue but even with that other app you get 5 working days /a week so I'd move a lot over there. The issue is there are a lot of not very nice buyers on there, especially on low priced items and I don't fancy getting verbal for a very cheap top.
The measurements on the postage are ridiculous as it's either large letter or medium parcel. Small Parcel isn't even on there. As for ebay saying 'if we get the measurements wrong it's our fault' I don't see buyers thinking that. Us sellers will take the flack instead including for the postage sizes and costs.
I can see clothes turning up damaged as ebay selected large letter for a jumper.
Having said that, If you only select one option whether it's Evri or RM they'll raise the price of your postage cost to try and 'persuade' you to accept both so not like I'm gonna sell anything anyways or get insultingly low offers.
I honestly think it won't take long before the whole thing gets totally outed for the shambles it is.
As to buying, it's only rare CDs I can get on here now, the other thing I used to buy,(vintage clothing label) nothing has been listed in months. When I search it now mostly all I get are vintage resellers at high prices who are nearly all registered as private sellers yet you don't have to look too hard to see they're actually
businesses, turning into exactly what another selling app beginning with a D has become.
As I said, I'll see what gives but if Evri is forced I'll have to a least put a disclaimer up and shift some elsewhere.

Thank you, will do. I hope you find a new platform, good luck 🙂

I hope what you see helps with your listings and thank you.

Really won't hold my breath on getting a reply from either though.
