I have several items for sale which 1 customer has bid on, trouble is some end in a few hours and some in 6 days, l have put a limit of 4 days for payment so if my customer wants to wait until all the items have been sold EBay will automatically cancel the sale of the earlier items. I can’t change the time for payment now. I am thinking the only way around this is to ask customer to pay for times sold today and then when all said times have sold l can sort out a refund for combine postage.
Unless anyone has a better idea which l would be grateful for

Has the customer contacted you to ask if they can pay when the last one ends in 6 days?
If not , just send a friendly reminder to pay for the items already won.
That may then open communication so you can discuss of how to proceed. i.e please pay for items and you will discount and refund postage after all sales have completed.
Are the items all suitable to be posted together?
This is where many sellers can get caught out, as if not you will be sending multiple parcels.
Also if they do not pay within the 4 day time span, eBay will automatically cancel and strike as non payment. Buyers need to be aware of this.

You're correct, you can't change your buyer requirements now for your current active auctions, so the 4 day unpaid cancellation rule will apply.
Your workaround is fine.
