Ok, I posted a short while back, usual thing, sales gone etc (in UK).
I've kept up some auctions, increased postage to cover royal mail 48 to ensure I'm covered.
I decided to give promotions a try. So, the handful of sales I've made (3) over the last few weeks, all promoted. Everything else, watchers or not looked at all.
So some auctions start to relist with eBay again telling me to drop my prices. The problem is, the perception of buyers. My prices were fine before and things sold (slowly), but it's eBay's front loading of protection fees that has made my items un-sellable. That and the fact that the protection fees is added to everything even if someone buys in bulk, so no discount or incentive to buy multiple lots from a seller.

Business is Business to Ebay, Free listing and no sale = No money for Ebay
Your reduced price = improved chances of selling and revenue for Ebay
Research your prices and market and judge accordingly,
All your getting is an algorythms suggestion designed to get increased revenue for the platfom at your cost.

This platform is like a poker game,
You can only play the hand you've got, at the moment it seems pretty poor. 24 years, sure youve experienced this in times gone by, head down, crack on and wait for it to improve,
Be careful with Promoted, make sure its right for you and your inventory, who and what are you promoting with is a good pace to start, posting for others who may read the thread.
