Hello all. I just need bit of advice please - I have a buyer who is based in Italy & wants to make an offer/buy one item I have for sale. They would make the offer from Italy but have the item send to a UK address. Does this sound viable?
Normally I do not do sales outside the UK but have told the buyer I would if I could find a way to make this work for them & safety for me.
What would be the easiest way to could do this please? Should I just make that item open to international sales & tell them to add the UK address to their account & mark that as the place to send it to?
Many thanks

Thank you, that is pretty much what I thought, that they need to add the UK address to their account so I can send it to there & via ebay system. I think they want to avoid using/paying for global shipping hence the UK address (and tbh I stopped doing international sales simply because half the stuff was gong missing in transit once it left UK RM)

To keep your seller protection on ebay you must only send to the address supplied via ebay. If the buyer can add the UK address to their account then it's fine. You can add postage to Europe or enable eBay's global shipping process to let them buy.

Good Evening Kee
I have sold items to overseas buyers who have used what is known as freight forwarders and never had a problem. Mind you as PB says make sure that the UK address is registered on their account. Additionally your prospective buyer may have a relative or chum based in this country who would send it on. The same thing applies regarding the address.
I can't see any problems providing you enforce the UK address rule.
Good luck

I'm just wondering if you need international shipping on your listing just to allow someone registered outside the UK to buy, even if their secondard address is in the UK. But if they have any problems you could try putting their ID on your exemption list to remove any blocks:

Good Evening PB
On the sales I spoke about I certainly didn't have International Shipping shown. Infact just the opposite. It all went like clockwork and the freight forwarder took care of everything on behalf of the buyer (at a cost to them).
