I'm using Ebays Custom Post Royal Mail Tracked, but iI'm having to wait two weeks for payment from Ebay , even when buyers have left positive feedback

If ebay are not sticking to the published payment terms then you need to ask ebay why not.

I have on numerous occasions, but all get is a text saying our agent has done everything correct to your question. If I send an item by tracked postage and buyer leaves feedback then surely I should be paid within 2 days not 2 weeks

It appears that positive feedback only releases funds if the sale was less than £10.01.

I didn't know that, that's why I read your query here then searched for more info. and eventually found this 

  • Untracked, or tracked with missing delivery confirmation: Funds will be available 14 calendar days from the order date
    • For untracked orders with a subtotal (excluding postage, fees, taxes) of £10 or less, funds will be available instantly if positive feedback is received from the buyer

I have an over £20 item Ebay are holding the funds on for the 14 days even though the buyer is happy with their purchase.

 

Not impressed with Ebay atm.

Are your items showing as delivered on eBay?  Positive feedback on its own is not sufficient unless the item value is £10 or less.

No , but positive feedback is, all items are sent Tracked by Royal Mail , I've explained this on numerous time to an agent after getting through on the phone. Just don't understand why this is happening

Did you upload the tracking numbers into ebay? Mine upload automatically with click and drop, and payment is 48 hours after the parcel shows as delivered.
If you use Simple Delivery then the tracking numbers will be uploaded by ebay and again payment will be 48 hours after delivery.

Hi all,

 

Just wanted to clarify here that for tracked orders, if the amount is £750 or less, your funds will immediately be available upon receiving positive feedback from the buyer after delivery.

This means that if you receive positive feedback, you still need to wait for tracking to confirm delivery as the funds will only be released straight away once you get positive feedback and tracking confirms delivery.

 

If tracking doesn't confirm delivery, you will have to wait for it to confirm delivery and once delivery is confirmed, the hold will be lifted straight away and you won't have to wait for the 2 days after delivery.

 

If there is no positive feedback, funds will be released 2 days after tracking confirms delivery. 

 

I know this is not the case here, but if the order is not tracked, you'd need to wait 14 days. Unless it is £10 or less, in that case, if you get positive feedback, you will get the funds straight away.

I have positive feedback on most
Items and i still have to wait 2 weeks for payment because it's still showing not delivered, is it a problem with the postman? I dont think so because its happing most of the time and all items are sent tracked, the postman scans when it's delivered. It's a mess, I'll probably leave Ebay and sell elsewhere thanks for your input.

Unfortunately, if there are no records of the tracking information confirming the item as delivered, the funds wouldn't be released as per policy.

Marco - you need to understand that for some reason your payments department DO NOT UNDERSTAND ebay policy. I've had 2 instances recently where tracking shows delivered both on RM and eBay  and positive feedback has been received soon after.

Tom in payments said that your policy of releasing payments immediately after tracking and feedback does not apply to private sellers who must wait for 2 days regardless - he didn't seem to understand the phrase 'INSTEAD of waiting two days.

Alex in payments was not aware of this policy and I had to guide him through the policy and read it to him. He said it wasn't eBay policy and didn't know where I got it from even though it was published in eBay seller news.

You simply cannot keep up this downward spiral against sellers - BPF is technically illegal according to the FCA and will undoubtedly lead to a PPI the scandal in the future, and Simple delivery is so bad on so many levels - you only have to read the comments on the forums. 

Ebay is better than this, come on, lets apply a little common sense and make it work like it should.

Yet again, tracking shows delivery 9.21am yesterday 07/06/25

Feedback received in the afternoon 07/06/25

Payment received - in eBay balance 09/06/25

No consistency with payments again!!!What happened to the faster payments.

The payments dept haven't got a clue.

Marco - for Christ's sake speak to your payments department!!!!!!!!!

They insist that what you have put and what is Ebay policy regarding immediate payment after feedback is INCORRECT.

Nowhere do they release payment until a minimum of 2 days has passed.

ALEX in payments said the policy DOES NOT apply to private sellers despite your policy for PRIVATE SELLERS to get funds faster

TOM in payments dept does not recognise this as official eBay policy and wasn't aware of it until I read it to him (this is an employee in payments!!!!!)

Just spoke again today and was told that the policy has changed and sellers now have to wait 3 days for payment. ???????????????

 

This is a complete shambles, no wonder so many people are pi**ed off.
