I want some advice really, so basically I have an item that was delivered to the eBay global distribution centre 3 days ago, I was told I would receive payment 24 hours after it arrived, I was then told I would receive payment 48 hours after it arrived, it’s now 72 hours later & I still haven’t received payment & tbh whenever I speak to anyone at eBay the call handlers doesn’t seem to know when I will receive it
i also have another item which has been delivered and positive feedback left and yet again I still haven’t received payment?

Welcome to the complete and utter debacle that is getting paid by eBay post February 4. Do both items show as being delivered (to the hub or home address) in Royal Mail tracking?

The first item to the delivery centre has been marked as delivered
the second I couldn’t upload the tracking details because eBay sent me a QR code for the item and when I got to the post office they wouldn’t accept it because it was heavier that the QR code label that ebay sent me so I had to pay for it myself, but positive feedback has been left by the buyer, it’s such a complete shambles atm

I have the same issue. GSP received my item yesterday morning and it was marked as despatched to the buyer the same day. I contacted eBay last night and was told that my funds would be released 'within 24 hours'. It's still marked as 'Funding pending - awaiting delivery'. If it hasn't been released by Monday, I'm going to call them again. Your contract is with GSP, not the buyer. You have no control over how GSP send the item on to the buyer, so once the parcel reaches GSP, the funds should be released.

Both of those situations are concerning - the former goes against eBay's policy. I'd email the CEO Jamie Iannone at jiannone@ebay.com to get both matters escalated. eBay UK's General Manager is Eve Williams - maybe she can be contacted at ewilliams@ebay.com?
There are far too many issues with seller getting payment post February 4 and far too much being fobbed off by customer services.

Pester them. Hope you deal with someone nicer than the person with an attitude who I spoke to yesterday.

The new Ebay:
- where small or private sellers do NOT matter to them
- where new rules mean we have to FIGHT for payments
- where new charges mean private sellers are not as competitive, so have to lower prices
- where Ebay are the ONLY people making money from the new charges

It's pot luck when calling customer services who you'll get put through to, Ireland, USA or some call centre at the a*se end of the world with only basic command of understanding, if I manage to get through to Ireland it's on a par with winning the Lottery

Hello Bristol,
Please try using the 'call back' system first thing on Monday morning (like 8.00 am). You are far more likely to get a call back from Dublin at that time of day.
The CS operatives in Dublin seem to know more, have more common sense and speak actual English!
Best of luck.

Hiya guys
thanks for all your advice, I’m finding this all so frustrating at the moment with eBay, I just don’t understand why they’ve ruined there own platform
regarding getting payment it seems to me that they don’t even know when I will get paid, again I spoke to someone last nite and they basically didn’t know what the platforms own policies were, and again I couldn’t get a answer as to when I will get MY money
I think after this I’m going to have to take the reluctant step of removing all my listing and stepping back from eBay as this just isn’t how a platform should work
thanks again Guys

Email the people that I mentioned. If you're on Twitter/X, tag eBay and ask why you're not receiving your money. Get in touch with BBC Watchdog by emailing watchdog@bbc.co.uk
