Yet again the seller had my neutral feedback removed. I bought an item and the seller accepted my offer but the next cancelled saying RM won't send paint. Hello how else do you think people deliver paint. I left neutral feedback as they were charging over £7 for delivery so they should of really checked for a suitable courier before listing the item. I have only left negative feedback twice both tines they were removed with a few hours even though the comments were valid. Ebay is going downhill and ii don't know how people put up with it. Luckily I only sell or buy very occasionally. The feedback system is pointless if they can pick and choose whose feedback to remove when they like especially if the person has 💯 feedback.

There are many things you are not allowed to mention in feedback... words like "return" and "refund" for example, or mentioning a previous order... either give a seller grounds to have feedback removed, if it doesn't automatically get actioned by the bots.

if eBay keep removing your feedback then you must be breaking feedback rules.
For example, putting "NEGATIVE:" cannot change the green dot for a buyer and that feedback would have been removed if the buyer had asked eBay.

I thought feedback is removed if seller refunds buyer before eBay cases are opened?

Hi,
Very true but they could of checked before listing the item. Tbh I've sent paint once but I won't do that again lol.

Hi,
Yeah but I'm sure I only wrote that they should of checked first before disappointing the customer. Thank you.

Hi,
I've only done it twice to be fair I don't normally bother. But thank you very much. 😊

Hi,
That's interesting that may have actually happened in my case. 😊

No, because it would open the floodgates for sellers who decide not to honour transactions.

Not at all. That just makes it easy for dodgy sellers to avoid poor feedback.

This is normal on eBay, the feedback system is a con. I do not leave any in protest, all bad feedback is taken off. eBay is just interested in the money they get from sales, so why would they make selling difficult? If you get screwed that there is no skin off their nose, no money in principals!

Agreed. Most posters here (and on similar threads) are either misinformed, deluded or shills.
My latest negative feedback disappeared within less than an hour. The seller poorly packaged a product, which was won in an auction, and I ended up receiving it crushed and deformed. After being refunded, the seller had the audacity to relist the item, using the original list photos and failing to disclose the item's current condition.
That was my only impetus for leaving negative feedback - to warn prospective bidders. I even enclosed photos of the damaged item, and never used any words or phrases that others have advised against using.
Clearly, eBay is using a bot system, which swiftly removes any non-positive feedback, based on the lamest excuses (e.g. buyer was refunded, so the transaction is now void (as is the left negative feedback)).

Ebay have recently updated their Feedback Policy - see link below. A lot of members are unaware that this is now a situation where Ebay will agree to remove feedback. Essentially, if you open a case using the Money Back Guarantee and the seller deals with it and refunds you, they can then ask for negative feedback to be removed and Ebay will agree:
'An eBay Money Back Guarantee case or payment dispute was closed with the seller having met their obligations to the buyer'

Yep, I discovered this a few hours ago.
Basically, when a seller offers a free return and a refund is issued (regardless of whether the seller or eBay issued it), any non-positive feedback is removed. It's utterly ridiculous, as there's no means of warning other prospective buyers of the seller's lack of moral scruples.
For me, this year has been pretty lousy for purchases and this is largely why - buyers have no idea of what they're getting themselves into. I've already received an AI warning for returning too many orders, even though they were all for legitimate reasons (i.e. often not as described). Clearly, being on eBay for almost 20 years accounts for nothing.
The feedback system is now a complete sham.
