Delivery not arrived

I have purchased an item which had tracked delivery by Royal mail. The parcel was sent to someone elses house although the sender addressed this correctly. I opened up a case which ebay closed because there was a tracking picture. the seller has informed me they have opened a case which could take up to 30 days. i have emailed ebay several times the response was to get the courier to admit loss  and investigate and for me to upload this email. Royal mail are reluctant to do this an refer me back to the seller. I have contacted ebay to say this. They sent an email saying the case was closed and also other irrelevant informatipn concerning another delivery company. I am going round in circles trying to get a refund on the item I have paid for and not received.Ebay are not listening. It is as if it is a scripted.

reply. Asking for an update from the seller has resulted in them not replying.

How do I know if the seller has received a claim and ebay have paid them. I the buyer am  out of pocket. Under the sale of goods act the seller has to investigate the delivery and I should get a refund. How do I get the sellers details to proceed with this. Any advice is appreciated.

Delivery not arrived

Have you checked on Royal Mails tracking page as sometimes they show the GPS delivery location on the map?
If it's there you may be able to work out who has it, or use it as proof it's not been delivered correctly..

You could also ask your postie where they delivered it to, if not much time has passed they may remember.

This would be the quickest way to solve it, if it's possible.

Failing that you could try to appeal Ebay's decision - you have 30 days to appeal from the date the case closed so you have some time to see if you can find it or get something from Royal Mail or see if the seller helps any further:

To add... I would also send a complaint to Royal Mail if the postie is no help.
