I just listed a new item today, everything seemed fine but then when looking a few minuits later I realised Collect In Person had been added to my listing (I did not activate this option)
I do not want to offer Collect In Person and will only use tracked and insured postage (You are not covered by seller protection if you allow a person to collect an item)
At the very least ebay should warn member that this option is now activated by default.
If like myself you are used to using a fast template to list an item this is very easily missed.
Ebay please make sure to warn sellers that you are changing defaults, or even better leave it to the seller to change their options!

'Me too, I can not seem to remove this option by editing the listing, I do not want collection in person on any listing'.
I have had a look at half a dozen of your listings. You don't have collection in person on them but you do have C&C.
With the postcode issue, I would call CS.

This does not show on my listings, What does show is boxes that are greyed out but will not let me select or unselect,

Have you changed your address for each option - when I moved house in August, I had to change my address in five separate places.

What else do eBay have to do? Create listings. That's all. They have no other purpose. And yet:
- changes to collect in person
- changes your returns policy
- changes to accept offers
- changes the auction length
- accuses you of selling off-site if you include any links at all, even though the links are there to help buyers avoid scams
- allow sellers of fakes to continue all but unchecked even when reported numerous times (unless they are selling fake brands and eBay could get sued)
Looking at it cyncially, which you do after dealing with eBay a while, these are 'bugs' that benefit eBay's bottom line. All difficult and time-consuming for us to fix but they have no incentive to do anything about them.

There's only one thing left that we can do and that is find another place to sell and ditch eBay !
