I’m looking at other platforms to shift my items on now.
Good move, it hadn't occurred to me to start buying and selling elsewhere until these stupid changes were announced so it was a bit of a mental hurdle to do the signup but now I'm glad I did.
I started buying a few small items (from my ebay wishlist) that were also listed at the other place to get my feedback above zero and learn the ropes from a buyer's perspective then took the plunge and started listing and selling items. Every so often I move a few more items away from ebay to replenish my listings at that place.
I'm using the platform that also has a buyer fee and managed delivery however they do it so much better than here (for various reasons) that people don't hate it there is seems very reasonable. The more I use that place the more sorry I feel for ebay making such a mess of themselves and dumping on everyone that ever loved them.
Now I have no loyalty to any platform and will use whichever platform has the best proposition for the item I am buying or selling. That's how it should be. Ebay should never have become so dominant. It's a good thing for the consumer they are screwing up creating an opportunity for competitors to develop faster.
