Buyer Protection Scenario ,Is It worth the hassle ?

Low cost item listed for £1 + postage of £1.60  ,Ebay adds their BPF of 75p + 4% (Tax) an increase of 79%. The said item is sent standard 2nd Class £1.55 or £2.00 (depending on weight) Tracked too costly to justify . I then have to wait 14 days to get my postage cost back plus £1 . Meanwhile should the buyer  decide he is not happy or item not  received ,opens a case, refunded by Ebay so am down £2.60 + the postage already paid. Since retiring I have been selling off my vinyl collection more of a hobby than anything .Happy with a trickle of sales ticking over and reducing the clutter of my collection. Since the introduction of the  BPF  sales have all but ground to a halt. No longer being able to offer qty discounts is a killer meaning a buyer has to pay ( 75p for  each item in my multi listing (10 singles  @ £2 =£20 + £8.30  Fees ) Who is going pay that ?

Either Ebay has have a rethink on this policy or private sellers and their buyers will be leaving in their droves.
