Hi,

The R is the decorators mark not the manufacturers. Withourt seeing the whole item it's difficult to tell which factory produced it & who R possibly is.

I am also looking for help with a makers mark. I  have a studio pottery hand thrown vase about 10" high very naturalistic rough surface, greyish pinky body only part glazed with soft green and pink . The initials are pressed in W over over H does anyone know maker?

If I were you, I should start a new topic with this query and you need to add pictures of the whole piece and the mark.

I will say though that studio pottery marks are fiendishly difficult to identify, but you never know, someone might recognise it.

Thanks Jes, I am new to all of this and could not work out how to start a new thread! I am not sure if images are added. I am also new to studio pottery, I have worked for both Doulton and Wedgewood and have some serious collector issues there but we have moved to a log burning rustic home and the studio stuff looks so much more in keeping, so looking to learn!

It's a nice looking pot, but I don't think I'll be much help to you.
