eBay app not importing flat number on address

Hi all, there seems to be a fault with the eBay app. I chose a collection from royal mail to send a parcel, but it's only sending royal mail my house number but not the flat number, so they don't know which flat in the building to ring for. All my information is in the eBay account section, so I don't understand why it isn't supplying all address lines to royal mail? I need collection from home as I'm disabled so it's not ideal if royal mail then don't know which flat to ring the bell for.

That could be down to whether you hit enter or space bar after you set up your address with ebay, did you book a collection through ebay or buy the rm label from ebay then go on royalmail.com and book the collection?

I booked the collection through the eBay app so it took the address data straight from my account. But when I go into my account, the address data looks perfect, flat number on one line and house number on the other. Do you think I should try and get it all on one line? Just seems weird to offer multiple address lines and then ignore them when it matters?

I would suggest putting "Flat " and the flat number on the same line together with the house number, as long as it doesn't make it too long - I think 39 characters have been mentioned in other threads (not necessarily to do with collections) as being an issue. Otherwise together with the name.

And leave the existing Flat number line as is. You can see if it ever appears again in the future.

And double/triple check all 5 addresses have the flat number/are correct here: https://accountsettings.ebay.co.uk/uas/addresses

And dont use #1 #6 ect ect in front of the flat number, you may be creating a command the system dont comprendy.

Hi lucyjane-113, thanks for your post.

Could you please double check your address here to make sure it is correct? It might be possible that you'd need to update your address from there if it is not showing the number you're missing.
