Simple delivery postage

Trying to sell a postcard. Simple delivery wants to charge £2.72!!!! I usually charge 95p.

They say items under £20 do not have to use SD -- how do I opt out???

You can't opt out, if an item is exempt from simple delivery you will be able to select the custom postage option when creating the listing.

Simple delivery postage

Hi stguidelines, thanks for your post.

If you are unable to select custom postage for the item in question, please let me know, so I can take a further look.

Thank you,

Marco

Simple delivery postage

Hi,

I've also discovered the "no opt out" of simple delivery and frankly I'm not impressed, particularly as I don't feel that it allows for the cost of packing materials necessary for some items that require any sort of extra protection. I am getting very disillusioned as a private Ebay seller because I and other people are finding it less and less attractive as a place to list items.

Regards,

Simple delivery postage

Yes, the SD fee is ridiculously in excess of what the RM would actually charge - or, in my case, even less as I have thousands of pounds of old (genuine!) discount postage to work through so I used to charge ~60% of actual cost.

Just do what I do and don't list any new items.

eBay has already lost out on the fees they would've received for £10,000+ of items that I would've listed here since Simple Delivery was mandated.
