Simple delivery no small parcel option. over priced combined shipping

I sell small model cars that with packaging weighing  less than 125g in the past I have always used Royal mail tracked 48 small parcel ( I would not use EVRI if you paid me ) being able to combine upto 2KG of models for the buyer at the same postage cost.

Now "simple!" delivery has no option for small parcel goes straight to medium size up to 1KG and charges the buyer £3.78 which is neither £3.39 small parcel or £4.85 which is medium parcel??? 

Now combined postage is based on 1KG per item so "simple postage" costs get really high.

Plus items sent globally are now showing incorrect weight so  International buyers are faced with a much higher postage cost than they should.  I get the other features this offers, ebay pay buy for lost items or damaged goods. The one click to generate a label and adds tracking is a major plus.

But for the love of god Ebay offer the right postage product for Sellers needs and to keep postage in line with what a customer know they should pay for the item they are receiving

Similarly, the bands seems to go from "up to 2kg" to "up to 15kg" with no middle range so anyone posting something of, say, 4-5kg is going to have a label either under priced (which feeBay are saying the PO will happily accept anyway - Really..??, not based on posts in other threads they won't) or, the buyer will be charged much more than they need to be. 

Why can't they just use the RM sizes and weights instead of tyring (and failing) to create something different which attempts to do the same thing when the solution already exists and is out there for them to just copy. 

They could probably even find some open-source code to use, can't be any worse than what they've come up with currently.

I think it is becoming obvious, eBay have no love for Royal Mail, hence their pricing bands reflect this fact. There is still no clarification from eBay regarding SD and low weight, low priced items ... what categories will be included and what constituets low value (they say £10). I for one will not use eBay's SD lables for an item weighing less than 100g and that will fit into Royal Mails standard or large letter category.

They just told me this was all worked out with Royal mail ,why would royal mail leave out small parcels , makes no sense and Ebay would know this , Just a total f#UP And being imposed on all existing listing so we are totally screwed

it says somewhere £10 or less but has be 100g or less ,so anything over 100g will be SD and again imposed on all old listings so £2.74 at the lowest cost, or refund buyer and pay your own postage out of your own pocket (that's what they said to me ) !!!

For me that sounds like it COULD work as I sell lasrediscs that are roughly 400g each and easy to combine so if a customer buys multiples that go over 2kg I would currently be paying about 6.35 but if I understand you right Simple Delivery would be £5.36 and actually cheaper so could be ok. No doubt I have missed something here though...

EDIT - I was going off the 2kg to 10kg option but that I found on google but apparently that's not available - still being able to combine things into this bracket is better than nothing - not ideal of course but fingers crossed that we can get some sort of working combination shipping out of this

? time will tell its all unknown until it happens and if buyer is paying i do not worry but higher postage cost will put buyers off ,+ i will have print labels and arrange collect which is more work , + its being imposed on all old listing, some of my ones are free post so a big hit it costs + all others a worked out on Royal mail grams and sizes not Ebays made up ones ? so can see a lot of ## coming + the three day to post so i can see my Above Standard rating is going to be hit,
