Just taken some parcels to the Post Office, posted with simple delivery and they wouldn’t scan. Post Office staff got the message “2D barcode not recognised, not valid for tracked 48”
Has anyone else had this? Thanks

Absolutely correct. It is just left to us, the little guys, to let our buyers know that their items will be delayed. Poor from eBay, but at least it wasn't their fault, even though they have forced simple delivery on us, but shameful from Royal Mail.

Tried at a sub post office yesterday with qr code and again after I printed the label, sub postmaster said the quad locker would be the same so didn’t bother trying yesterday. Went to the locker today and label printed and accepted.

So Royal Mail accepted my deliveries through simple delivery paid by customer so I sent the parcels however ebay is showing I haven’t sent them? Ermmm. Have I just sent £200 worth of Pokemon cards to people for free? I hope eBay will approve the payments as the items are sent

If the post office gave you a proof of postage you should be covered, but also if they where sent RM48, you should see in the next 24hours or so, that the package will of been internally scanned at some point or other on its trip towards the customer, it will at the very least be scanned upon delivery.

Yes it is just a Post office issue, even if you had given the items to the post office and they just gave you a proof of postage receipt, the package would show its tracking on its various scan points through its journey towards the customer.

What are ebay doing about this?

I had one rejected on Sunday; on Monday the post office counter worker tried to scan it and looked bemused, she shouted to her colleague in Urdu and he replied in Urdu, she then looked at me and said yes it's been sorted but wouldn't give me a receipt, stupidly I didn't press the point. Tuesday morning, the royal mail tracking system is still reporting that the item hasn't been dropped off 😮.

Hi All,
The issue with the track48 YA labels has been resolved. The Royal Mail systems are now accepting the parcels so you should be able to send them through the Post Office. If you were unable to send your parcels and new labels were purchased the original labels can be voided.
For Simple Delivery, the buyer purchased labels will automatically be refunded to the buyer within 30-40 days. For seller paid labels a refund request can be submitted through the webform within 14 days from the order date.
For non Simple Delivery eBay labels, they can be voided within 14 days by going to postage labels on your account.
There will be automated protections in place for impacted sellers for late shipment and INR service metrics.
Thank you,
Kat

It’s all working now - post office just accepted the tracked 48 parcels as normal with YA code that was previously causing the issue.
Fully sorted now with regular tracking
