If I have 2 items which have been bought, and the buyer requests combined postage, how can I do this with "Simple" Delivery please?

You can't at the moment, it's not working. You either have to send the item separately, or cancel/refund the transactions with buyer agreement and relist both items on one listing with one postage for the buyer to buy and pay again.

I had enabled combined postage as a seller and advised the buyer to put each into her basket and then buy. This split the full postage cost between each item. At the moment I now have 2 emails for QR Codes each with too small an amount to be posted. I had intended to just get 1 QR Code I'm currently trying to find out how to deal with this issue.

I have been told by EBay that I must use both QR Codes on the same envelope. I will get to the Post Office today and find out if that is an issue.

That sounds bonkers to me. It may work but it depends on the PO scanning both labels, and the postie at the other end doing the same. Also, it will be very obvious to the buyer that they have paid for two lots of postage but only received one package.
Although this fiasco is of eBay's making, who do you think the buyer is going to blame for it?

This sounded bonkers to me too. I had told the buyer to place each in her basket before paying and that automatically reduced the postage to one amount. The EBay emails said that the reduced amount was then split in two and gave 2 QR codes. This meant that neither would be sufficient postage. I've just been to the Post Office and they said only 1 QR code can be used and the QR codes are going to the same person and same place. Although the EBay emails said that a different postage amount was attached to each QR code and told me to use both labels, the Post Office said that the total amount was attached to the QR code so only one could be used. Only one needed. The buyer is only paying for one postage. Job done.
