Sent items to Guernsey

Hi.

I'm based to the UK and nornally I charge £3.50 to cover P&P (No international postage allowed).  I have had a few sales in the past for Guerney or Northern Ireland. But the postage is more than £3.50.

Can you restrict sales to these places ?  or how do get around this ?

Yodel and other couriers charge extra for delivering to so called remote areas.  Royal Mail charge the same for all areas of the UK. 

You can exclude certain areas when setting up the listing or, when receiving an order from someone in an area where the surcharge applies, ask the buyer if they are okay with you sending it via Royal Mail instead of Yodel (most buyers will be aware of the issues in sending an item to their area via a courier so should be understanding and not have a problem with you sending via Royal Mail instead).

You can also set up postage tables to deal with the different areas but that's a bit more complex.

Yes. You can set up special postage rules for remote areas of the UK and specify the costs involved. You should be able to do this in bulk but on the single listing page under "Rate Options" you can put this in. Click on the three dots to set up in the first place. And tick the check box to enable the rule.

In fact Royal Mail are cheaper to send to the Channel Islands I e one going tomorrow. Was charge for tracked 48 £2.26 ish

I have thw no global sales enabled but got a buyer from Guensey. Went to post and was told I had to fill out custom declaration which seemed odd as its supposed to be covered by the UK. 1st I've heard of it but no harm no foul. However I have had things not arrived there in the past. I'm now guessing it's had something to do with not filling in a declaration. declaration.
