Royal Mail can they get worse.

I had a customer report a strange delivery from me confused i dug deeper.

She said she had a delivery but she hadn't ordered, The customer name did not come up in my orders list,

I asked for photos of what she received.

The photo of the invoice was jaw dropping in particular the date on that invoice, 5th October 2023.

There was only one reply to this message that was appropriate " Better late than never"

As another side note i combined three orders into one parcel they raised an not delivered not for the 3 items but for 2 only said i only need the 2 refunded. I said surely if you have not got the 2 you wont have the 3rd one.

But because of the silly time line eBay put in place, of course I've had to refund.

I feel its far too short, especially considering the 30 days for any postage label not used bought from ebay  (simple delivery)

I've heard of Royal Mail being called ' Snail Mail'  but your example above,  gives it a whole new outlook,  snails are faster!

As for the refund you had to make,  yep combining orders now using that one tracking code,  sellers are leaving themselves open to unscrupulous buyers , who can easily claim for item(s)  not received , and be guaranteed a full refund.

Until this ' technical issue' with not being able to combine postage on SD is fixed,  some sellers are finding this helps:

Some sellers are leaving a message on their listing,  for example.....   ' If you wish to buy multiple items,  please let me know before buying,  I will relist them as one listing so only one postage cost is charged, combining postage is not currently possible. '

I'll just clarify i used SD as an example of how long it takes ebay to refund as opposed to a case that we only get 4 days, hardly time to investigate properly. It take royal mail 2 days Minimum to get back to you when you raise a question. I recently had an open ticket with them that took a full week to get a reply.

I did not use SD as i am a business, i combined it postage level with my royal mail account.
