Hi, I have just been to post all item's that I have sold in the last 24 hours at my post office. 4 of my items were Royal mail 48 Tracked /simple delivery, all 4 QR codes are invalid and will not scan! How am I supposed to send my items to my customers please!

I have just had the same experience this morning with two parcels at my local post office, I suspect that there has been a software update overnight and something has gone wrong in carrying it out. I will try again on Monday when hopefully everything will be working OK.

Yes perhaps I will be better to try again this afternoon. THANKS for replying 🙂

Same problem here with tracked 48, tracked 24 was fine. The guy in the PO said to take a photo of the tracked 48 one when I handed it over. No certificate of posting though. Hopefully the system error will be resolved as it goes through RM's circulation till delivery scan

I've had the same experience this morning. I spoke with eBay Support on the phone and was eventually advised to create another label outside of eBay. I bought a label from the Royal Mail website, updated the order's tracking number to that, and requested a refund for my Simple Delivery label at https://www.ebay.co.uk/claims/simple-delivery/refund/seller.

That's helpful if you are paying for the postage as a seller otherwise (from my experience) the buyer gets a postage refund

Yep, as you can see from this thread alone, and there are many more, others are having the same issue today, many reports of this coming through, you are not alone.
Seems for the time being, the answer is to either buy your own postage label through Royal Mail / Post Office, or try again later for an SD label.
Then, for the unused label:

Yes, same problem. Took down 5 packages with RM / ebay simple delivery and all were rejected because of invalid codes. I will also be trying Monday but in the meantime I have updated my postage preferences to evri for a short while instead of RM.

that is a bit of a hassle ... though probably have to do much the same thing. Simple delivery yet again. I have set it to evri only for now. Andrew

Useful observation !! Perhaps that is the problem

It also seems to be affecting labels starting with YA, so not reserved just for one or two destinations, it seems! 🤔

Yes, I've just had two YA codes refused too. I'll also try again on Monday.

Had the same issue on Saturday 2nd August, with a Track48 purchased directly through the RM website, ended up buying the label in the Post Office. Have taken 3 more orders to our local instore PO this afternoon (Sun 3rd Aug) and all three came up "Invalid"- these were bought through eBay.. total pain..

It seems that they are accepting them now, just with no receipts.
My local PO is open on a Sunday and I just posted those two items, and took photos of the labels as receipts.
Maybe by tomorrow they'll have it fully sorted.

Does anyone know when tbe issue will be resolved?

I tried posting 2 Tracked 48 Royal Mail eBay printed labels yesterday and neither would be accepted. Can’t find anything online suggesting an issue, so pretty frustrating.

There's a disclaimer now when trying to purchase a label, so they're aware at least.
"The Post Office is experiencing issues with Royal Mail T48 labels (print in store and at home). We expect resolution by Monday, 4th August. Meanwhile, send parcels using alternative locations like Collect+ and Lockers. More details can be found https://www.royalmail.com/services-near-you#/"

I would still try to post at the PO. They could say we can't blah blah, you have to BUY a new label blah blah. BUT I handed mine over, no problem yesterday and it's tracking in RM's system
