Receipts from post office

Hi All,

If I buy postage using Ebay , do i have to get a receipt from the post office.

If this OK, does Ebay count as my way of getting a receipt if i need one.

I use RM which I buy the postage labels online via eBay and print out. I drop all at the Post Office and get a receipt/s for all the letters and parcels when scanned.

The eBay receipt only shows you have bought a postage label.  

On the few occasions a parcel has got lost I used the RM Scanning information to make an online claim.

With Simple Delivery ebay refunds buyers for loss or damage in transit and seller keeps payment.   Although you can keep the PO receipt the scan will show online that item has been sent and delivered.

Never hand anything over at a post office without getting a receipt, if you are handing over multiple items tell them you want individual receipts not one long till roll because if you do and need to make a claim not all the required info will be near the tracking number and they will duck any claim, systems work for the operators NOT you!
