Is There Going To Be An issue? Medium Parcel Sent On The Cheap

Hi all,

I've sent 3 packages yesterday via Royal Mail. 2 Under SD and one of them, a big parcel under SD, which certainly qualifies for "medium parcel category". I may have, sort of... accidentally 🙄 placed it in the large letter category. It got collected yesterday with the others.

The other two parcels have received secondary scans in another hub. Just, not the one which remains unchanged since collection. The big one. Is there going to be an issue?

It depends.  If you accepted e-Bay Recommended size/weight it'll be OK as they cover it.

If you over-ruled the Recommendation and got it wrong you'll be charged the difference in price plus £1.  Either way it should still be delivered.

Won't the buyer get a red card through their door wanting the payment before delivery?

No.  e-Bay will cover the underpayment and recover it from the Seller if they over-ruled the Recommendation or pay it themselves if it was as Recommended. Getting on for half the things I've sent under Simple Delivery have been under-paid with no problems to me or the Buyers.

There were cases of Buyers being 'red-carded' in the early days as not all RM staff knew how it was supposed to work or computer systems hadn't been fully up-dated.
