Some Chinese sellers do have stock in the UK.  Always a good idea to check feedback to see if other buyers have had any issues.

If the item location is stated as UK but is sent from overseas then you should open an 'Item not received' dispute once the estimated delivery date provided by eBay has passed, ignore any excuses from the seller or partial refund offers, and escalate after 3 business days for a full refund.

Then report them for 'Item location misrepresentation' using the report button on the listing.  The more people that report them the more likely eBay are to take action.

Finally, make sure you leave appropriate feedback remembering to keep it polite, factual, and to the point so there is less likely hood of it being removed.

Chinese sellers

I have had the same problem over the last few weeks, Items are listed as located in the UK but postage is 2 weeks or more from London to Oxfordshire, the item is clearly not in the UK.

I had one item that did not turn up and I was refunded, recently I was fooled again by the same buyer, I tried to cancel the purchase 2 minutes after I bought the item, when I realised it was the same seller from China, the cancellation was denied as apparently it has already been sent out. The postage on eBay states it will arrive in 2 weeks, I searched for items in the UK and the item location on the listing said UK but it is taking 2 weeks to come and that shows on my eBay purchase history how can an Item in the UK take 2 weeks to get from London to Oxfordshire?

I tried to complain to eBay but their AI said everything was within policy.

So when I found this post,   https://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/Announcements/IMPORTANT-ACTION-FOR-ITEM-LOCATION-MISREPRESENTATION-P...   I was surprised that the AI stated that it is normal for the item location to be stated as UK in the listing but the item is sent from China.

I needed this item quickly, so I searched for a UK seller. Now, I am without the item and without the money to get another replacement item for a couple of weeks as the item is being sent from China, and it will take more time to get a refund if it even turns up, as the last item for this seller never turned up.

There seem to be a lot of sellers from China stating item location in the UK and then sending from China with a minimum 2 week postage time.

The eBay post link above states that it is against policy but the eBay Customer Service AI states that this is within policy. very confusing and very frustrating.

Trying to get hold of a human at eBay Customer Service, is really not easy.
