I have recently sold two items on eBay and they were pretty good deals both selling for 99p which was probably a fraction if what they are worth. I'm not too bothered about the price, I just want the items gone.
The two buyers that won them both lived about 4 hours away and so an 8 hour round trip was necessary meaning they could only really collect at the weekend. I'm retired and regularly away and do things at the weekend. I messaged both buyers saying I'd like collection as soon as possible which obviously pushed the date out a long way. Am I being unreasonable in cancelling after 3 weeks of no collection? The buyers are saying I am unreasonable for not being available but I am in fact available 5 days a week anytime. It's the fact they are not local that is the problem. Any opinions welcome

I think 3 weeks is ample. They should have been able to organise collection by now.
You can cancel via the dropdown menu for the item on your orders page. Use the reason "Something wrong with buyer's address", ie. too far away to collect. If they've paid the refund will be issued in the process. Or if they haven't paid you can cancel with non-payment as the reason.

Just to add… if you decide to relist them, it's an idea <if you don't already do so> to mention that collection is only available mid week, without mentioning that you’re away at the weekends, for obvious reasons.
Also worth mentioning that they need to bring the collection code with them, as this proves on Ebay that they collected.
When I used to sell any collection items I would also state collection within 7 days etc & that contact is requested within 24 hours to arrange a date & time for collection.
That way it just makes it easier to cancel sooner if they mess you about.
