eBay funds

Since when has ebay been granted the power to retain and delay payouts to sellers who have sold  items and had the sale confirmed  ?

The sale amount is confirmed, but can only be accessed to buy from eBay hmmmmmmmmmm  I smell a decaying mackerel here, or is it just me ?

It's probably because you haven't sold for a while.

Ebay place holds on payments made to new or recurring sellers.

Usually 21 to 30 days depending on value.

As a Private Seller you need to have sold 10 or more items with a combined total of £150 or more within the last 5 years, have no more than 2 requests/cases currently open, and have received no more than 2 transaction defects within the last 12 months in order to qualify for immediate release of funds.  Failing that payment will be released 14 days after date of order.

Thanks Roger but I've been a member for over 16 years now and made multiple sales over the years, perhaps it might be yet another fundraising ebay idea such as buyer protection or vat on used goods within the uk ?
What do you think I wonder ?
