age verification - problems payment

I can't complete a purchase due to not being able to use my debit card (do not own a credit card)

I selected pay in three which is often how I purchase which then proceeded to complete payment, went through and paid and then items was stopped due to needing verification. 

My PayPal amount shows the payment was set up, and first payment was taken, showing as such in PayPal

Now unable to cancel the order and its no longer showing up in my purchase history.

Does it say anything useful if you open the item page? Does it give a link to an order page from there?

My guess is that the order will be cancelled and refunded automatically but that's just a guess. If nothing seems to be happening (in a few days/depending on the amount etc.) ebay customer services should hopefully be able to explain what is going on.

It sounds like the payment went into a pending/verification state, which can sometimes cause the order not to appear properly in your purchase history.

Since the first payment has already been taken via PayPal, the best step would be to contact eBay support directly so they can locate the transaction and confirm the order status.

You could also check your PayPal activity for a transaction ID and use that when speaking to support.

If the order doesn’t go through, the payment is usually reversed automatically, but it may take a few days to show.
