Hi pal thanks for your post. Different coloured backings are a bone of contention for me when trying to complete loose sets. While some collectors appear not to be too bothered that backings have different colours i on the other hand prefer to collect sets that do have the same backing. Value can vary i suppose but mostly for older sets imo - e.g USA 94 Black backs (European Edition 444) have much higher £££ value (and more stickers) than UK Green Backs (416). Another example is spoken about in my topic - "If i had enough money...." where there is a seller just now on Ebay selling a Mexico 70 album and loose set with (Green backings) rather than the Black/Red ones and whether this would affect the selling price. TBH as a rule for value i would stick to the Black back versions for the best re-sale price. Others may disagree though..... 😉
