Investement for the future?

Ten years time from now whats your price prediction for loose stickers/albums and sets that you own?

My Mexico 86 loose set just now worth roughly £250 -300 in current climate - hoping maybe £400 - £450 by then. Whats your thoughts?

Re: Investement for the future?

I agree the value of these sets will probably be around £400 by then. I know they go up in value if you sell in a World cup year.

Just think if as kids we would have kept hold of those old loose stickers!  Thats why I collect all the current sets and in 20 years time they will be worth a lot and its a great investment much better than putting your money in the bank and getting next to nothing interest.  Do you have an empty mexico 86 album to go with your loose set?

As a bit of fun we should put together an estimated price list for all the loose sets.  I have been studing how much they go for on ebay recently.

I agree with daza that the value goes up in a World Cup year.  You usually get loads of new collectors suddenly discovering the fantastic world of Panini, so it's worth hanging on to your prized collection and then sell them off during World Cup years.

I started filling the holes in my collection back in 2005 and prices have rocketed in the last 6 years.
