trying to re-instate an old ebay account

I had an old ebay account used a lot in the 2005-2015 period but less so after, then I lost access to the email account used on it and replaced my pc. I now can't work out how to access the account as I don't have passwords saved and didn't have twin factor authentication although I am still at same address and with same phone number and personal details.  Anyone got any idea how I regain access to the old account? Thanks

When you log in there is a ' Forgotten your Password' link just below where you need to enter your password.

Click on that,  answer some security questions correctly,  and you will be sent a new password through your email  or eBay messages.

trying to re-instate an old ebay account

this was not for my current 2 year old account, I wanted to re-instate an
old account I had for 20 years but lost access to 5 years ago. Although I
had name of account and was able to answer all security questions on the
phone number they had for me (and rang me on) and I closed the maal_1072
account they would not change the old email address to my current email and
advised me to open a new account

If you don't have access to the email address you can't get the account back.

I would think that Ebay would have closed your account if it had not been used for 10 years.

They don't automatically close dormant accounts, they would usually email you to say your account was not being used and was in danger of being closed.

If you didn't reply - which you wouldn't with no access to the email account - they would probably permanently close the account.
