What should I do if the buyer threatens to return the item without proper packaging, potentially causing damage during transit?

I sent it to him well packaged and safely, I suspect he might damage it on purpose and blame it on the board.

Do you have a message making this threat? If he opens a return case, I suggest you cover yourself by letting ebay see the message.
