product restriction.

I purchased a samsung galaxy official 45w superfast charger 2.0 with USB -C to Data Cable

back in December 2025.I then had a message from ebay march 19th saying  that model #EP-TA845 is product recall and can cause electric shock as its inadequately insulated. They told me to contact seller which i did but no response.I have been looking at purchasing another but when i check model number on product it seems to be same number. So i am asking why its still be listed to buy.

Good question. You would think that if eBay's computer could identify past listings for recalled items, they would identify current listings too. You can never fathom eBay, but you can report it if you want - there is a link in every listing to report it. Never expect eBay to be like the shops; the user agreeent even warns buyers that they don't guarantee that items sold here will be safe, or even legal.

As regards the item you bought, although eBay won't get involved after its own 30 day time limit has expired it's possible that your payment provider e.g. credit or debit card issuer may still be ale to help. Their time limit for claims will be longer, probably around 120 days.
