Hi I have been selling on Ebay for the past 20 years and I have seen its decline, many of my items are are not arriving at there destinations and having to give multiple refunds I am sending Royal Mail 48 mainly and would like some help as Royal Mail are not helping at all, as my profits on jewellery are minimal to send by tracked mail the cost is £2.70 on other platforms the buyers do not have a problem with paying this while on Ebay the price is very competitive so can not do this, can you let me know what other sellers are doing to stop fraud and missing parcels

Unless you can prove delivery, you always have to refund buyers if they claim item not arrived.

I would think Special Delivery is best method as it provides £750 cover.
Any other method probably would not cover Jewellery at all, and for example the old Signed For only covers for £20 but not appropriate for Jewellery.
I can guarantee that no courier service would cover jewellery or if they did would be more expensive than R M.
It is always best to pay for the correct method as it will be cheaper than refunds with no ability to make a claim.

I use Royal Mail tracked 48 for any item which sells for more than £10 but only sell on a very small scale.
