inaccessible ebay balance

I have recently sold an item. The balance is not on hold but I cannot access the balance because the page will not work correctly. I think the problem is a pop up for "new reports and taxes". This has the usual X in the top right hand corner to delete it, but when I try to delete it nothing happens. and so the page is frozen. Does anyone know how to fix this. I have reported it to eBay 3 times but with no action from them. The balance itself is not frozen as I bought another item using part of that money. I was promised that technical would deal with the issue, but they haven't and I have signed in and out several times and cleared cookies.

How are you accessing your balance?

Top of most pages PAYMENTS, click that and frommmenu select summary.

You will probably have to log in and have a code sent but that should get you to the page the. blue box and then follow the arrow.

The arrow does not work because the pop up on the payments page cannot be cleared off. I can see and scroll the page but the arrow on the eBay balance in the big blue box will not work. The page behind the pop up is effectively frozen

Do you seriously think I would still be writing about this issue if that was the answer.

The pop up stops me from doing ANYTHING on the payments page. I can see the blue box but I can't use it.

3 messages to ebay and 3 long telephone conversations with ebay and they have nothing about it.

As far as I can see the obvious answer is just to close my ebay account as they plainly don't want me to use it.

They didn't seem to understand that I am not going to sell anything on ebay if I can't get the money out, and with that level of technical assistance I despair.
