I was selling an old British coin collection until it was removed due to counterfeit claims
I disputed this as I wanted to know where they had received the information from which helped them come to this decision.
this has caused me so much stress and frustration due multiple phone conversations where they made me feel like a criminal stating that I'm guilty until I prove myself innocent, although they have so called evidence that they cant share any details of..... I take time out of my life and pay someone to independently authenticate each coin and then send the report back to eBay only then will I be able to relist the item.
I always believed you was Innocent till proven Guilty
Innocent until proven guilty is a principle stating that a person is considered innocent of a crime until a court of law finds them guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. This principle means the prosecution bears the burden of proof and must present sufficient evidence to establish the accused's guilt
Keywords: Must present sufficient evidence to establish the accused's guilt
I've been an eBay member since Jan 2008 with a feedback score of over 1000+
I no longer feel valued
I see other people are receiving the same accusations in this community for other items, so just thought I would share my experience..... terrible, stressful service, where now I am considered a fraudster.

Not being able to see the details of the item you tried to sell, I would suggest you try selling using a reputable Auction House.
As ebay have never seen the collection, it is unusual to remove anything as fake, as members find it impossible to get any sensible response when reporting the most obvious fakes.

It was a collection of coins including
FARTHING
HALF PENNY
3 PENCE
6 PENCE
ONE SHILLING
TWO SHILLING
HALF CROWN
They where all circulated and worn nothing super rare.... some are in ok condition but they have to be in excellent / extra fine condition to have any high value
your 100% right! eBay have never seen the collection.
I offered to send the collection to eBay so that they could prove themselves wrong.
I suppose I'll just have to use eBay for purchasing from now on because as a seller it feels like they work against you when we are the ones who are actually generating the revenue for the company
Its comes to something when you cant use the number one selling site but like you state there are other ways and means of selling items!
As the saying goes: Don't bite the hand that feeds you.
