entering credit card detail

Hi. I want to by grooming scissors but they asked me to verify my age by entering my credit card details.  I bought the same scissors before and all was ok. I don't have credit card.  What can I do.?

You will not be able to buy those scissors yourself,  if you don't have a credit card on your eBay account. 

This is the only form of verification eBay accept,  to prove you are over the age of 18,  to buy any bladed item from eBay.  Debit cards won't suffice as anyone of any age can own one.

Only way round this is to ask a friend or family member who do have a credit card on their eBay account,  to buy this item for you.
