Ebay has emailed me advise of a change of username, but I have not requested this. My account still shows my usual username. I have changed the password and have 2 step verification in place. The emails advise that my email address ends with gmail.com but I have used googlemail.com for many years. The new username is vastly different also.
I have no idea what has happened and I would appreciate advice on how to delete this from my account. I only have one account. Thank you

Thank you for replying so quickly. I did log in via Google a few days ago. I've had another email today welcoming me as Miguel with suggestions for purchases. Do I just ignore these or is there a way to request the deletion. It also says I cannot change the username for 30 days, but at least my regular username is on my account. There is no sign of a 2nd username but would this be because it is using a gmail address rather than googlemail one?
thank you

Have you logged in via Google recently? That can sometimes creat a new account but not change the name of an existing one.

The gmail accout would be a new one through Google, it's their default email. You can just leave it unused or here is info about closing it:
