I found an item that was listed as Eufy doorbell camera in the title. I checked the description and it's definitely not Eufy brand. So I report to eBay as it's misleading people. I received response back from them "Thanks again for reporting the listing(s) you found.
What happened:
We looked into your report and didn’t find the listing to be in violation of our policy. This determination was made using automation or artificial intelligence."
What's the point reporting items that have breached the policy when their dumb ai can't even see it read my evidence. eBay really needs to stop this behaviour by using weak ai algorithms. So apparently you can call your items whatever known brands you like and the ai won't see the violations.

That is because, eBay cannot see the actual item, and the report can be coming from a disgruntled buyer or even a competitor trying to bismirch a seller with accusations to have their competition removed.
eBay work on cases.
If buyers are opening multiple case for item not as described, when receiving their item, it will raise red flages to eBay, and they will act with restrictions on selling or even permanent bans from selling on eBay.
It's always worth opening those case if items received are not as described, not just for the refund, but to bring to eBay's attention that item, and that seller.
Cases do work, messaging cannot have the same effect.

I didn't buy the item. I was doing my duty and reported the seller for misleading customers. It's deception when a seller on purpose adds a named manufacturer brand to the product title. It's manipulative behaviour that needs to stop. This product was a cheapy no name brand as seen on the photo's. They added Eufy name to it. I have also seen price gouging too with other items on eBay. Their ai is ridiculous if I can find them but their algorithms can't. And when I do report them (to try save potential customers from being ripped off) eBay uses automated or ai to do the investigation when it should be by a human. We are talking major policy violations and potentially criminal activity (on border gray area)
