Verifying my age without a credit card

I'm trying to buy butter knives and I've had my account for 20 years which is more than 18 years.

I'm afraid eBay insist on a credit card for verification when buying any form of knife.

Although your account is over 18 years , anyone could be using it, so that credit card is the only way to prove online,  that you are 18 years old or older.

The only way round this is to ask someone with a credit card on file, to buy this item for you.
