Unsafe notice received from eBay re headphones I bought

eBay msgd me with a report link recently , an EU safety document from Sweden(from last year) stating product is unsafe for use, specifically lead and other toxic substances leaching out. Seller states a malicious competitor did this and to continue using product as the appeals process they're going through will prove this. I had asked for refund and of my intention to contact Trading Standards as they knowingly potentially put my health at risk. Irrespective of outcome(hope it's not true) eBay seemed slow to suspend product (only v recently) and I've been using the product daily for over a month for prolonged periods. It's dented my faith in the whole process and after many years not using eBay have only recently began again. Not using product ATM, obvs, but how long will this drag on before I know the full facts for certain? Any insights greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Ebay only pass on the recall unsafe messages and don't get involved, although they do suggest you contact the seller if you want a refund,but ths isn't guranteed. So you would have do your own homework on the headphones I'm afraid
