I bought a romahome on November 5th this year. I paid over the odds. (stupid I know) I'm in Scotland the seller is in Blackpool. I travelled down by train. Got to the seller It was dark. On the way home I stopped for a rest and coffee. The van wouldn't restart. I called the AA they got it started but when I turn it off it wouldn't start. He told me to keep it running till I got home. Further up the road at Lockerbie I braked at a junction and the van went right over the road and down the bank. I phone the police and the AA once again to be recovered. That was 1.30am the recovery vehicle didn't come till 7 and a half hours. It was in the middle of nowhere pich dark cold and raining. (I'm 69 years old) it's took me ages to get an slot at my local garage. It was in today. The report wasn't good. In fact they advised me that the van is dangerous and had to be taken of the road. (I hadn't been using it. The brakes are faulty. It came with an 8 month Mot. My garage stayed it would never have passed an mot in their garage. Now the problem being how do I tackle this. I want my money back. This member put my life at risk. I will be in forming the police as my garage suggested.

You need to seek legal advice.
There is no cover for motor vehicles purchased through Ebay.

eBay don't offer any kind of Money Back Guarantee on vehicles, they don't even accept payments for them, it's between buyer and seller.
Sounds like you have a strong case for a legal claim though.

Unfortunately if the seller was a private seller [or a dealer who conceals that he is a dealer] there is very little that you will be able to do legally. With motor vehicles a private seller is not required to have any detailed knowledge. It's frightening I know. I once bought a Renault 750 which was apparently fine but had a cracked block bunged up with wire wool/Brillo pads! @ukmarti-38g5fc
Even the MOT is valid to the extent that it showed the condition on the day it was tested.

When buying a motor vehicle through eBay, especially from a private seller, the onus is on the buyer to inspect it thoroughly, or to have t professionally inspected.
It isn't safe to rely on the seller's description. eBay even warns buyers in the user agreement that "they do not guarantee the existence, quality, safety or legality of items advertised, or the truth or accuracy of descriptions". So if you didn't have it inspected you knew the risk you were taking.
As regards getting any money back, as has been said eBay excludes motor vehicles from any protection under its money back guarantee, so you have no chance of getting your money back through eBay.
Whether you have any legal claim against the seller will depend upon the facts. If the seller is a private seller you may have to show that claims made in the description were untruthful. Unlike business sellers, private sellers are not normally liable for unknown or undeclared faults. If it was a business seller the position will be very different, especially if the brakes were unsafe.
Good luck. I'm glad at least that you were not injured, but as far as money back is concerned you will probably need to consult a solicitor. You could first try asking Citizens Advice - they should be able to suggest how best to proceed.
