Unreasonable expectations?

I have sold a guitar (which I bought on Ebay) to a buyer who had offered me a reduced amount (which I was happy to accept). He left me good feedback but has now come back to say that he is having to put the guitar into a shop to have it repaired as the string spacing is too high due to a bowed neck. This is not necessarily a major problem as bowed necks can be repaired if you have the basic knowledge and tools. My question is:...where does a Sellers responsibility end...we could all do this and tell Sellers that we are having to put our items in for repair?

On ebay, a seller's responsibility ends with the money back guarantee expiry date, 30 days after delivery.

Chargebacks with payment providers have a much longer time frame.

It is up to you.

Personally, I would message the buyer and remind them they got a good price but, if they are unhappy with the guitar, offer to have it back and refund them.

I would not offer anything towards the repair.

Give them a 'keep it or return it' choice.

As stated, outside of 30 days, buyers don't have any right to return an item so you could just ignore the buyer.
