I have a problem with an item that has been recalled due to a safety issue, I have tried to contact the supplier yunlai-617 but can’t find an email address, the one I have obtained is yunlai-617@163.com but this comes back as “Demon fail: email not listed” the item has a lifetime warranty and was quite expensive! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

If ebay sent this email about a recall, then it doesn't neccessarily mean there is an issue with it,as ebay just forward the recall message when they receive them.
Look to contact citizens for more help

You can use the Ebay system to send the seller a message but, as they are based in China. they are unlikely to do anything.
Warranties are only as good as your ability to enforce them so, to be honest, buying an item from a Chinese seller on the basis it has a lifelong warranty is not the best idea.
Go to any of their items and find the 'contact seller' link to get in touch with them.

As @jckl1957 said go back to the listing, or look in your purchase history for the ladder and seller, and use the contact details on any of that sellers listings.
It might be worth contacting your payment provider for help if your within time.

Personally, I would not trust a company that sold me an unsafe ladder to suggest a modification that would make it safe.
It looks as if you bought it more than a year ago so it may never actually fail.
However, every time you use it, you may be taking a risk.
I know ladders are not cheap, but I think I would cut my losses and buy a new ladder or hire or borrow one when required.
