Hi everyone, I'm dealing with a really frustrating loop on a recent sale where support gives sellers misinformation and tells them they have been scammed.
- Sold and shipped an item, uploaded valid tracking info right away in Seller Hub (carrier shows it's on the way/delivered depending on timing).
- Funds became available 2 days after delivery, but the payout was on hold
Initially, the payment hold was lifted/removed (funds showed as available) - Then, out of nowhere, eBay put the hold back on the funds. The notification said it would be lifted within 24 hours by support staff.
- Now they are asking to resolve a tracking issue that is already resolved, and support keeps ending chats and now saying it won't be resolved in 24 hours, as previously informed, to wait 3-5 days after previously the account was unheld and told all will be resolved in 24 hours (before a new restriction of tracking that is already showing delivered)
- 8 hours after the hold was removed - Now eBay is asking for tracking information again – even though I already provided it and can see it linked to the order, and delivered, no issues.
- Contacted support multiple times (chat mostly, tried phone too when available). Responses are scripted/repetitive: "wait for delivery confirmation" or "re-upload tracking" (which I've done). They won't escalate or check why it's glitching between removed/reinstated. Chats often end abruptly without resolution – super unhelpful.
Misinformation given, false promises. Asked them several questions, but they did not reply, and just ended the chats. Does anyone else have this? They give the impression that my money and items have been given to a scammer.
